\nFor 20 years Magneto Optic Imaging (MOI) has been pivotal in increasing use and life extension of aircraft structures. MOI is a highly effective and efficient non-destructive evaluation (NDE) process that can be used to detect surface and sub-surface cracks in aircraft skin near fasteners, as well as sub-surface corrosion. Using eddy current excitation, the MOI\u2019s rapid scanning process enables aircraft inspectors to observe greater flaw detail, and greatly reduces downtime for required inspections.
