測量原理

 

分析所依據的測量原理與氧化鋯的使用有關，氧化鋯在高溫下可以表現得像固態電解質，在與不同 O 2濃度接觸的兩個電極上產生電動勢 (EMF)（分壓），與以開爾文度 (°K) 為單位的溫度以及兩個壓力 PO?2?‘ 和 PO?2?”之間比率的對數（根據能斯特眾所周知的比率）成正比：
