Currently there is a rising use of satellites designed for weather surveillance, scientific measurements, telecommunications, and highly accurate positioning systems. These platforms need very accurate attitude and dynamics control system (ADCS), therefore those instruments – solar panels, antennas and other hardware – have to be properly oriented in order to perform their functions. The sun sensors whose can measure the two axes incident angle of a solar radiation are the most extended among all available positioning sensors for satellite orientation.
